The Changeling by Margaret Higgins
#1
Strange story. Good idea but I just couldn't swallow it whole. I don't think the author told the story very well. She used a mixture of first-person and third-person narrative. The supernatural elements were just too fantastic to be believable. The characterization was poor.

This is a story of a young teacher, recovering from a nervous breakdown, who takes on the job of private tutor to a young girl who is 'unusual'. I don't want to say more in case I spoil it for anyone. Although it has its faults, I'd still give it a "C".
