Mary Stewart might be another good option.

Thanks for mentioning Mary. Â Really a brilliant writer in multiple genres. Â The last book of hers I read was a very late novel, Rose Cottage. Â It got mixed reviews but I think some readers were expecting a bigger story than it was intended to be. Â Do you have any personal favorites?
