It sounds interesting, if maybe more Victorian than Gothic. I do like the title.

The Vampire Cameo by Dorothea Niles is similar, as well as the entire Dark Shadows series of novels by Marilyn Ross. There is a newer Dark Shadows novel that was reprinted when the dreadful Johnny Depp movie came out a while back. Dark Shadows: The Salem Branch.
