Great capture. The tower looks very similar to those at Osborne House, Queen Victoria's former residence on the Isle of Wight. Here are a couple taken (by yours truly) of the tower at Osborne House.

Great to see this sub-forum appear! Thanks, GothAdmin, and Monique Devereaux, for getting the ball rolling!

A note to the architecturally curious from an incorrigible geek: It's amazing how "Gothic" these buildings (Gravesen House and Osborne) look, even though they are in fact Italianate (Renaissance) style rather than Gothic (Revival). But that, of course, is neither here nor there when we refer to "Gothic" as a literary genre; in doing so we evoke a manner, an atmosphere, which not limited to any particular style or period. My point is that it's remarkable how, seen in the right light and from the right angle, the sunniest Romanesque palazzo can appear as stern and sinister as any Cornwall castle!

I'll start posting some pictures here too.
