" The Legend of the Seventh Virgin" by Victoria Holt. Published by Fawcett Books 1965. On the back of the verso in Harry Bennett's handwriting it says catalog # 255600 or 255800. I'm not sure which. The medium used for the painting is egg tempera.

Very nice, not one of my favorites but I am a big fan of Harry Bennett's work - it's nice to see an original painting without the lettering. thanks for sharing!
