What American gothic authors do you read?

You can find it on Amazon. Just search for Poe, Raven and you'll see a bunch of titles that has it. Or just go to your local bookstore. It'll almost certainly be in any collection of Poe's works.

Poe is often credited as the man who started the mystery genre (at least in America). His writing is definitely full of "Gothic" themes: murder, death, violence, madness, dark and spooky places, etc.
