The Unguarded by Dorothy Daniels. Published by Lancer Books in 1965. Cover artist Lou Marchetti. Your looking at these photos and wondering what is wrong with the original art. Probably what happened to a great deal of art during that period since it was'nt considered of value after the publisher was thru with it. This piece was obviously used as a display painting in the Lancer Book offices. It did'nt survive over time as it must have been stored poorly as evidence of the condition of the acrylic paint.I've included pics of the verso and title plaque that was the type used by various publishers when displaying art in the offices of the company.It's a travesty as it's a Lou Marchetti piece. I was sick on my stomach when I saw the art.
