What is your favorite gothic romance book? Why do you like it so much. I'm still looking for a book that I can call my favorite.

Goodness me, Tim, that's a tall order to pick just one. The Mad Hatter Mystery by John Dickson Carr, set in and around the Tower of London was very enjoyable as was The Cambridge Murders by Dilwyn Rees, set in a fictional Cambridge college.

In addition to the characteristics of the writing, the two of the principal aspects of plot for me are a strong, logically soluble mystery and a classic Gothic setting so any book I recommend might forsake the elements of romance and the supernatural for setting and mystery.
