What I'd like to see is a compilation of reviews of specific author's works. For example, we have a few bibliographies on this site. It would be great if someone could put a review by each of the books and have them linked up. I think it would be a great service to those of us who love to read. What do the others think?

We've been wondering about the best way to tackle this for a little while. Intrinsically, the forum format does not freely lend itself to content management so we've considered a few ideas based around what we have.

One idea is to have a "reviews index" at the head of the Book Reviews subforum. When someone posts a review, we would update the index with a link to the review; the review index would be sorted by author.

A second idea is to have an additional panel on the front page of the site, running down the right hand side (much like advert panel you see when viewing this page,) listing authors, their bios, bibliographes and reviews and linking off to appropriate section/post within the forum. Again, this panel would be updated as new reviews are posted.

Does anyone have additional input as to how this might be best achieved or features they'd like to see included? Feedback greatly appreciated

Both ideas sound good to me. The second one sounds better but it also sounds like a lot of work.
