Hey, I'm a huge fan of the gothic paperbacks! I go to garage sales every Saturday to find them. I love the ones from the 60's mostly. My mom used to have so many of them on the book shelves, but she gave them all away. I used to look at them all the time and wish I were there in the story-haha. It's funny how most of the art doesn't have anything to do with the stories. The art is awesome, and, sounds funny, but I wish I could just jump right into the picture and take part in the story. You really don't find books like these today. Another thing I really love about the books is the smell. That probably sounds funny too, but I love the smell of old books and comic books.
I'm also an artist, so these books have had somewhat of an inspiration on me. |
